Katherine Aguirre did an internship at the Department of Economic Investigation of Banco de la República as well as with the National Department for Statistics (DANE) where he worked with the survey on Victimization in Colombia in 2003.
Here research interest includes regional and urban economies.
At CERAC she applied epidemiological and demographic methods for the analysis of conflict and violent crimes. She is also the coordinator of the webpage www.dotec-colombia.org, a virtual library specialized in issues related to economics.
